Been a fan since: Schoolgirl days in the early eighties.
Favourite Sting song: There are too many to list just one, but I prefer the soundtrack songs and rareties such as: 'My Funny Friend and Me', 'Until', 'Practical Arrangement', 'Ghost Story' and 'End of the Game'.
Favourite Police song: 'Synchronicity (1)', 'Secret Journey', 'Man in a Suitcase' - there are way too many to list!
Favourite Sting album: 'Mercury Falling', 'I Shall Be Released' (series) - all are awesome!
Favourite Police album: 'Synchronicity', 'Ghost in the Machine' - love them all!
Most memorable concert: I've attended at least 15 Sting/Police concerts. The very first Police concert attended was during the 'Synchronicity' tour at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse. My first solo Sting concert was during the 'Dream of the Blue Turtles' tour in Toronto. Both were filled with excitement and absolutely jettisoned me into the Sting/Police buzz! I felt compelled to go to every show involving Sting that I could attend. The Last Ship on Broadway was superb and I've also attended 3Penny Opera with Sting (wonderful) and two Today show tapings (including Sting's 50th birthday celebration) and XM taping of 'Songs from the Labyrinth', compliments of this wonderful fan club.
Other favourite bands: The Beatles, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Bob Dylan, Til Tuesday featuring Aimee Mann.
In your own words: I've been a fan since I heard 'Message in a Bottle' on the radio and wanted more immediately. Since watching Sting in 'Brimstone and Treacle' and hearing the Police on the radio I have become deeply addicted to Sting and his music. No matter how many times I hear songs from the Sting/Police repertoire, the music always seems brand new and is as fresh as the first time I heard it. I adore Sting and the Police and will continue to seek out this music for the rest of my life.
