In your own words: I have been a Police and Sting fan since 1978 at the age of 11. I was finally allowed to go and see The Police live at the Queens Hall in Leeds in December 1982 and that was the first time I saw Sting in person as he walked past the queue in which we were camped out in the ice and cold. There began a lifetime of following his music and going to concerts in different countries. My other passion in life is dancing Argentine tango and when I saw the Symphonicities tour in Madrid, there was a local Argentine tango dancer, dancing onstage to 'When we Dance'. I was green with envy as you can imagine! I finally got the opportunity for a ‘meet and greet’ with Sting on the 24 April in Gateshead at the Last Ship benefit concert. He was a real gent. The concert was fantastic and obviously meeting him makes this my most memorable concert! I have just bought all the sheet music to The Last Ship and will be practising on my piano and sax until July when I have tickets for Cordoba.
