The Police today confirmed dates for their European Tour which will begin August 29 at the Globe Arena in Stockholm following sold out dates in North America.
Concert dates were also confirmed in the UK, Germany, France, Holland, Austria, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Denmark and Switzerland with additional dates and venues to be announced. A combination of outdoor stadiums and indoor arenas will be played.

Fan Club Presales this week for the shows in Stockholm, Amsterdam, Birmingham, London, Manchester and Cardiff will take place at 10am (local time in each of those countries).
The tour will also visit Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, and Denmark with additional cities and venues to be announced.
During their time together The Police had five number 1 albums, a succession of top 10 singles and received six Grammy Awards. The first date in Birmingham will be the band's first live performance in the UK since New Years Eve 1983 when they performed at Wembley Arena during the Synchronicity Tour.

Tickets for the European tour will go on sale beginning Friday, March 9 in Birmingham, London, Manchester, Cardiff and Amsterdam with additional on-sales to follow.
A portion of the proceeds from this tour will be donated to WaterAid
, an international NGO founded in 1981 and dedicated to reducing poverty by improving access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education. Working in 17 of the world's poorest countries, WaterAid and its partners have already helped over 10 million people gain access to water and sanitation and is committed to helping to reduce by half the proportion of people living without these basic necessities of life by 2015.
