03.16.11 Symphonicity World Tour Extends To Include New Performances In Italy This Summer...


Live Nation is pleased to announce that Sting will extend his critically-acclaimed Symphonicity world tour with concerts in Italy this summer. Following sold-out performances across North America, Europe and Australia, Symphonicity finds Sting performing his greatest hits re-imagined for symphonic arrangement. On July 29, 2011, the Symphonicity tour will appear at the Piazza San Marco in Venice, accompanied by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Venezia, as part of the Venezia Jazz Festival. On July 30, Sting will perform at the Cavea dell'Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, accompanied by the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, as part of the summer event Luglio Suona Bene 2011. Both concerts will be conducted by Sarah Hicks.

The Fan Club presale will begin at 10am (local time) on Thursday, March 17. Legacy Fan Club members will be given a one hour advance window at the start of the presale followed by a presale to all members beginning at 11am (local time). Tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, March 21 at 10am (local time).

Australian-born vocalist Jo Lawry returns to Cornelia Street Café for her first New York performance since her stint as with Sting on his 2010/2011 Symphonicities tour. Spring sees Dominic Miller starting an extensive tour that will see him on the road until the end of May 2011. Starting with a date in Kamloops, British Columbia on March 24 the tour then moves to Central and South America with visits to Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Uruguay before moving continents to Europe and visits to the UK, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Italy, Bulgaria, Latvia and Lithuania.
