Sting's new retrospective box set '25 Years' has been nominated for a Grammy award in the category of "Best Boxed Set or Special Limited Edition Package". The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on "GRAMMY Sunday," Feb. 12, 2012, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and once again will be broadcast live in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on CBS from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT)...

While a nod for best adult rock album might be better received by fans, this is great news! Good luck at the awards!
Following the sell-out of Sting's Back to Bass concert at the SalaKongresowa in Warsaw, an additional performance has been confirmed for February 16. Fan Club presales will begin at 10AM (local time) tomorrow, Wednesday, November 30. Legacy Fan Club members will be given a one hour advance window at the start of the presale followed by a presale to all members beginning at 11AM (local time). Tickets will go on sale to the public Friday, December 2 at 10AM (local time)...

The Sage Gateshead are delighted to announce Sting as a founding Patron of their ambitious £1.3 million project to transform the remaining railway arches behind the iconic venue into a hub of creative training for some of the region's most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. Sting, who will return to the venue with his Back To Bass Tour in February, said: "Having grown up on Tyneside, I'm pleased to support this appeal for The Arches project and The Sage Gateshead's ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for today's young musicians and music lovers in the North East...''
Following the immediate sell-out of Sting's second Back to Bass concert at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, a third and final performance has been added for March 21. Tickets are on sale now. Sting.com Fan Club members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets from a separate allocation beginning Tuesday, November 29 at 11AM (local time). At noon, the day after a sold-out show at New York's Roseland Ballroom, Sting sits on a bench in Central Park overlooking an empty baseball field. Dressed in blue sweatpants and a white T-shirt, he stretches his legs in preparation for his daily bike ride from his Central Park West apartment up through Harlem. "I'll sing on my bike while no one is listening," he says. "I'll just vocalize, make up melodies and sometimes think of a song. I like forward momentum. Perhaps its anxiety, perhaps its fear, but it becomes an addiction after a while. As I get older, I think I'm going to have to settle down at some point..."
