04.01.05 Broken Music Tour 2005 STARTS TODAY!

Beginning today, April 1, 2005 Sting returns to North America for the Broken Music Tour! Featuring an all new, stripped down show, Sting will be performing on dozens of college campuses, as well as in cities and venues not previously played on 2004's Sacred Love Tour.

Playing on college campuses for the first time since The Police days, the Broken Music Tour will feature Sting playing bass in a four-piece band with longtime band mate, Dominic Miller on guitar joined by Shane Fontayne (Lone Justice, Bruce Springsteen) on guitar and Josh Freese (currently a member of A Perfect Circle) on drums.

The band spent early/mid March rehearsing in Italy and members can view a photo-set taken in Italy in Virtual Ticket. Non-members can check out the photo preview (see below this article).

LA-based rock band, Phantom Planet will open for performances April 1 through April 27. Formed over 10 years ago, when the members were in high school, Phantom Planet has become a recent pop culture phenomenon with the release of "California" the current theme song for the hit television series, "The OC." Additional support artists include Fiction Plane at shows from May 2 to May 11, Brazilian Girls at Sting's performances in Atlantic City April 29 and 30, and finally, Joss Stone is confirmed to be the support artist for Sting's closing night performance at Jones Beach in Wantagh on May 13.

Tickets for all performances are on-sale now. Visit the events section of the website for direct links to tickets sales and venue information.

Broken Music is presented by The Next Adventure, A Clear Channel Music Group and produced by RZO Entertainment, Inc.
