To celebrate the release of his new album "The Bridge" and for the 50th anniversary of the French radio station FIP, Sting gave an exclusive concert at the Panthéon, to be broadcast on ARTE Concert https://www.arte.tv/ (as well as on their Facebook page and YouTube accounts) on November 27 at 8PM CET. It will also be aired on FIP on November 26 at 8PM CET: https://www.fip.fr/

An exceptional setting to rediscover his greatest successes, so as tracks from Sting’s new album released last Friday (November 19).

Sting at the Pantheon is an unusual encounter between two giants, a telescoping between heritage and pop culture. A few weeks ago, the British singer-musician performed  a private concert in the Parisian sanctuary at the occasion of the 50th anniversary of radio station FIP. Under the vault of the monument, we are witnessing a condensed version of his universe from Police, a flagship group of the 1980s, between planetary hits and more intimate songs. He begins his performance with the haunting ballad "Shape of My Heart", written with his friend guitarist Dominic Miller, who accompanies him here, with Frédéric Renaudin on keyboard, Rhani Krija on the percussions and the backing vocals Sophie Thiam and Othman Coradidi.

These are followed by tracks from his new album The Bridge, including the cheerful "If It’s Love", with a playfully whistled intro, and "Rushing Water". Extracted from his album Nothing Like the Sun, "Fragile", is a tribute to an American engineer killed by the Contras in Nicaragua in 1987, that recalls the commitments that have continued to mark Sting’s career. One year after the attacks of November 13, 2015, the one who has often collaborated with French artists was also the first to perform again at the Bataclan. He shows once again, with this extraordinary performance, the full extent of his classy mastery.
