Debut show to feature Sting with new music from his upcoming Symphonicity Tour. Yes frontman Jon Anderson to be featured guest on the June 19 edition of "Linked--Connecting the Classics".

SIRIUS XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that it will launch a new monthly show, "Linked--Connecting the Classics," on SIRIUS XM Pops, SIRIUS channel 79 and XM channel 77, on Saturday, May 22 at 9:00 am ET.

The show, hosted by New York Philharmonic and Detroit Symphony Orchestra Board member Peter Cummings, will explore the various ways classical music connects with other musical genres, including rock, pop and jazz as well as various aspects of popular culture.

The debut show will feature special guest Sting, who is set to launch his Symphonicity Tour backed by the 45-piece Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, conducted by Steven Mercurio, this summer. During the show, Sting will share with listeners how he finds inspiration in classical music, including his morning ritual: starting his day listening to Bach. Additionally, SIRIUS XM listeners will have the opportunity to hear several new recordings of Sting's most celebrated songs re-imagined for symphonic arrangement, including "Roxanne" and "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic."

On Saturday, June 19, "Linked--Connecting the Classics" listeners will hear Jon Anderson of the progressive rock group, Yes, discuss his early discovery of Sibelius, his current fascination with Stravinsky and all the music in between.

SIRIUS XM Pops features the most popular classical pieces of all time, performed by the Boston Pops, Sarah Brightman, Yo-Yo Ma, James Galway and the world's most renowned orchestras, soloists and voices.
