Win Tickets To Attend Sting's Special Birthday Concert At The Public Theater in NYC!

July 09, 2013

The Traditional Yoga Association, founders of the MUKTI project, has been awarded two tickets to a special concert in celebration of both Sting's birthday and his forthcoming album, The Last Ship.

The show will take place at The Public Theater in New York City on October 2 and will help raise money and awareness for MUKTI - a project that supports a home for HIV positive children, an orphanage for street kids and refuge in India for battered women and their children.

The winner of this lottery will receive two tickets to attend the concert on October 2, plus the opportunity to meet Sting before the show. Return airfare from London to New York for the winner and a guest will also be provided, along with a five night stay at the luxury Empire Hotel, plus £500 spending money. Please note, the lottery is open only to UK residents aged 18 years and over.

Trudie Styler, patron of MUKTI, has generously offered the organisation this incredible opportunity and comments, ‘This charity is fundamental for the children and elderly in India. MUKTI funds three projects based in Delhi and Pune and every single penny that is raised by the Traditional Yoga Association on MUKTI’s behalf goes straight into these projects. Sting and I are delighted to be giving this gift to the organisation and we look forward to meeting the winner and guest on the night’.

Tickets for the lottery draw are now on sale at £2 per ticket and can be purchased online at www.CelebratewithStinginNY.co.uk.

The winner will be announced at a lottery event draw on 7th September, 2013. Good luck!

Last December I had reported about " Indian Brave Heart "at the FC- Community. I was very shocked about the situation for women/girls in India. Well, I'm pleased that Trudie supports Indian battered women and children. Thank you very much Trudie and Sting !!!

Did you not read the news article that says "In keeping with Sting's longstanding tradition of hosting special events for his official fan club, in addition to these 10 performances, 100 Sting.com members will receive free tickets, selected via lottery, to attend a very special concert in celebration of his birthday on Wednesday, October 2 at The Public Theater. Stay tuned to www.sting.com for details."?

So sad
What about us way down in the south on the African continent, we dont stand a chance whatsoever of ever having such a fantastic opportunity.

Lucky UK
Great and important cause, but why limit the 'fundraising' effort to just UK residents? Common sense would extend such a rare and lovely opportunity to all....more money for said cause. Seems strange.

"Sting's Back To Bass tour started in 2011, launched its Canadian leg in May and has been collecting stunning reviews and huge crowds at every stop. The tour is built on simplicity; six musicians, a bit of razzle, some musical dazzle. Original E-Streeter David Sancious sits at the Keyboard, with drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and guitarist Dominic Miller, violin and mandolin from Peter Tickell and the added richness of Jo Lawry's backing vocals. It's a tight, intimate group you might like to see at Joe's, but they had no trouble filling every ear at Mile One. Can we single out one performer as shining? No, Each brought maximum talent to the stage. Nicely chosen. (How does one get hired to play for Sting, anyway?) On their feet from the moment the show opened with 'If I Ever Lose My Faith In You', a Grammy-winning tune from 1993's 'Ten Summoner's Tales', the crowd ate it up..."
